Health habits such as proper handwashing are sustained with the appropriate water access infrastructure. That is why, to instill this life-saving habit of proper handwashing, we aim to deliver 285 hygiene facilities in NCR and Rizal before the resumption of classes next month through the synergy program: #SafeWASH in Schools.
This month, we formally turned over 10-faucet hand hygiene facilities to 14 schools in Valenzuela City and additional 50 schools in Quezon City through the generous donation of P&G Safeguard Philippines. #SafeWASH in Schools strengthens MWF’s partnership with the MWSS and the Quezon City LGU, and goes beyond borders as it partners with Maynilad Water Services and the Valenzuela City LGU.

#SafeWASH in Schools is a collaboration between P&G Safeguard Philippines and Manila Water Foundation to promote proper hygiene and sanitation practices among school children through effective WASH projects. This project supports the WASH in Schools or WinS Program of the Department of Education and the BIDA Kid Campaign of the Department of Health, sustaining health protocols in schools, and keeping them safe against germs.
