Water relief bound for Agaton-hit communities​

As an initiative of the MWSS Regulatory Office, Manila Water Foundation provided 200 units of 5-gallon Healthy & Pure Drinking Water for affected families currently in evacuation centers in Baybay, Leyte.​

MWF turned over the units to MWSS Regulatory Office which consolidated bottled water supply from Manila Water Company and Maynilad Water Services. MWSS Chief Regulator Patrick Ty, MWC East Zone Regulatory Affairs Director, and MWF Corporate Member Atty. Kaye Revil, MWF Executive Director Reginald Andal, and representatives from Maynilad were present during the handover of the relief goods.​

Agaton was the first tropical cyclone to enter the country in 2022. According to reports, Tropical Storm Agaton destroyed more than 700 homes, with the Western and Eastern Visayas having the most damage and displaced families now staying in evacuation centers. ​
