More schools are now WASH-ready through Lingap Eskwela.
In partnership with Asian Community Trust (ACT), a charitable trust formed from donations of Japanese citizens, Manila Water Foundation formally turned over a 10-faucet hand hygiene facility at Gov. Isidro S. Rodriguez Sr. Memorial National High School (Halang Extension) in Cainta, Rizal on August 31.
The project aims to help protect students and school personnel from communicable diseases by encouraging the practice of proper handwashing through the installation of hand hygiene facilities and distribution of hygiene supplies with appropriate info-educational materials.
Eight to 10 kilometers away from the main school, Gov. Isidro High School (Halang Extension) was constructed in April 2018 at Sitio Halang, Brgy. San Isidro in Cainta, Rizal to cater to students residing within the vicinity, thus helping them save time and money for transportation.
MWF is a proud partner of ACT, Japan’s first "fundraising type charitable trust," as it forges on in its commitment to support DepEd Philippines' WASH in Schools program and bring WASH for all communities.
