Lingap Kapulisan: 1st of 18 hygiene facilities built

The PNP Officers' Ladies Club, Soroptimist International of Kaagapay, and Manila Water Foundation formally inaugurated the first of the 18 hand hygiene facilities under the 'Sabi ni Nay Maghugas ng Kamay: Lingap Kapulisan' project at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City on July 30.

Aiming to shield those who serve and protect from communicable diseases, 'Sabi ni Nay Maghugas ng Kamay: Lingap Kapulisan' is a snappy salute to the brave men and women of the police force, their families and communities.

During the inauguration, NCRPO Regional Director Police Major General Vicente Dupa Danao Jr., PNP OLC Adviser Rosalie “Lally” Eleazar,PNP OLC President Leticia Cruz, DOH Health Program Officer Andrea Lee-Llacer, Manila Water Foundation Executive Director Reginald Andal, and representatives from Manila Water - Taguig Business Area graced the event.

To complement the use of the hand hygiene facility and encourage the practice of proper handwashing, MWF also handed over 100 hygiene kits and P&G Safeguard Liquid Foaming Hand Soaps.

The project is intended for the 17 PNP Regional Offices and the PNP national headquarters, serving 33,000 police officers, personnel, and civilians. The multi-faucet hand hygiene facility features a pedal-operated design with the faucets physically distanced, and signages. The facility is built to last and can be used amid the pandemic and beyond.
