Metrobank Foundation, MWF turn over more hygiene facilities in schools through LCFWinS

Celebrating synergies for service, Manila Water Foundation (MWF) with League of Corporate Foundations (LCF) member and project sponsor, Metrobank Foundation, Inc. (MBFI) crossed towns and an island to formally turn over five new 10-faucet hand hygiene facilities to 5 public schools in Metro Manila, Laguna and Rizal on February 17-19, 2021.

This is under LCF’s initiative, LCFWinS: Lingap Eskwela sa Pandemya, implemented by MWF, which aims to support the Department of Education (DepEd)’s WASH in Schools (WinS) program.

Students, faculty and staff from the following schools can now look forward to new handwashing facilities when face-to-face classes start: Sampad Elementary School and Subay Elementary School in Cardona, Rizal; Dita Elementary School in City of Santa Rosa, Laguna; and Fortune Elementary School and Fortune High School in Marikina City.

The facilities are installed in strategic locations in their schools that would encourage their staff and visitors to wash their hands before entering the premises, thus helping them fight COVID-19 and other communicable diseases.

Under the program LCFWinS, MBFI will be donating ten 10-faucet hand hygiene facilities to 10 schools and  2,000 pieces of hygiene kits to another 10 schools across the country.
