Aside from the water provided, MWF also donated 100 hygiene kits for 100 families in Pampanga whose homes are still in floodwater after the onslaught of recent typhoons. MWF made the turnover to the Ayala Young Leaders Alumni Association Inc. – Pampanga Chapter (AYLAAI-Pampanga Chapter) as support to their gift giving activity on December 19, dubbed Pamicalugud Kapampangan: Pasko sa Sagrada. The hygiene kits contain toothbrushes from PHILUSA soaps from P&G.
Gab Tugbo of AYLC-2018 and member of the Organizing Committee shared, “With the hygiene kits donated by Manila Water Foundation, we believe that 'yung mga beneficiaries ng proyektong ito ay magiging masaya. ‘Yun naman ang ating purpose kung bakit natin ginagawa ang partnership na ito…para mas mapasaya pa at maiparamdam sa kanila na tuloy ang selebrasyon natin ng Pasko (Beneficiaries will be glad. This is the purpose of the partnership...so we can make them feel the joy and spirit of celebrating Christmas).”
The program is under MWF’s Agapay program which aims to provide relief to communities affected by disasters such as typhoons and earthquakes.
