Manila Water Foundation brings WASH amidst the COVID-19 pandemic

Manila Water Foundation (MWF), in its mission to be at the forefront of bringing WASH (water access, sanitation, and hygiene) to all communities, responds to the COVID-19 pandemic by mobilizing Php 1.31 million for affected sectors through its Agapay Program.

Agapay is a disaster response program that immediately addresses the water supply and sanitation needs of communities and institutions affected by disasters and calamities. Through monetary and in-kind donations from MWF and its partners, the Foundation was able to provide potable water, water dispensers, food packs, hygiene kits as well as IEC (information, education and communication) tools to institutions such as public hospitals, healthcare clinics, local government units, quarantine facilities, border checkpoints and communities who are adversely affected by the pandemic. These efforts complement the responses made by the Manila Water Company such as installing static water tanks at city borders and building shower facilities with adequate water supply at the World Trade Center as a fully operational quarantine facility.

Moving forward, Manila Water Foundation will continue to bring WASH in this pandemic.
