Bantay Bata 163 Children's Village in Norzagaray, Bulacan not only provides shelter but also gives love and hope for rescued children.
Building a better future for these precious kids, ABS-CBN Foundation, through its Program Director Ms. Jing Castaneda-Velasco, tapped Manila Water Foundation to construct two five-faucet hygiene facilities in the Village.
The facilities aim to encourage children to practice good hygiene habits that will help them grow into confident and healthy individuals. Intended to be used by 86 child residents, the facilities are located at the Village's playground and the basketball court to reiterate the importance of washing hands especially after playing. During the inauguration ceremony of the facilities, MWF taught the seven steps to proper handwashing and toothbrushing through its Health in Our Hands program and provided hygiene kits to complement their learning.
Aside from Bantay Bata 163, which is ABS-CBN Foundation's child welfare and protection program, MWF is brewing other projects with ABS-CBN Foundation under its Bantay Kalikasan program, in partnership with MWF's Integrated WASH program, and Sagip Buhay, in partnership with MWF's Agapay program.
