Dr. Ricardo Orge, a scientist for the Filipino Farmers, and 2017 MWF Prize for Engineering Excellence awardee
ABS-CBN News–Dr. Ricardo Orge works as an agricultural engineer from the Philippine Rice Research Institute. His most recent work, a machine for processing rice hull, has enabled farmers from Nueva Ecija and Bulacan to speed up their income-generating activities and address environmental and climate change concerns.
Thanks to engineers like Orge, more communities are able to experience innovative engineering solutions to various developmental problems in the areas of water, sanitation, sustainability, and the environment.
