As the medical needs for COVID-19 patients continue to grow, large event venues are being converted as additional health centers to manage COVID-19 patients with mild-asymptomatic conditions. The World Trade Center (WTC) in Pasay City is one such event venue which is now being developed as a 501-bed facility which will house mild cases who have no access to isolation areas.

MWF continues to collaborate with government as it supports the fight against COVID-19

On April 24, Manila Water Foundation (MWF) gave water relief to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), specifically for the AFP Leadership Development Center, operating under the National Task Force for COVID-19. MWF donated 2,400 pcs of 350ml Healthy Family Purified Water for AFP frontliners tasked to enforce the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) since it began in mid-March in Luzon.

Border Frontliners get support from MWF amidst COVID-19 Pandemic

While the battle against COVID-19 is fought primarily at medical facilities, a different battle is fought in the streets as frontliners along the city borders continue to monitor and regulate the inflow and outflow of people to help contain the spread of the corona virus.

Seeing the need to protect these brave frontliners, Manila Water Foundation (MWF) and Dragon Edge Group, makers of Beach Hut Sunblock, and other personal care products, collaborated to donate 540 bottles of alcohol for the Philippine National Police personnel manning the city parameters.
