MWF named as Asia’s Community Care Company of the Year

MWF was recognized because of its Integrated WASH and Flagship programs.

 

True to its mission in serving marginalized communities through water access, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), Manila Water Foundation (MWF), the social development arm of the Manila Water enterprise, bagged the Asia’s Community Care Company of the Year award, the top award for its category, at the Asia Corporate Excellence and Sustainability (ACES) Awards 2019.

Cleaner hands, better school performance for Taguig pupils

George Tizon, a sixth-grader from Ricardo P. Cruz, Sr. Elementary School, noticed that some of his classmates incurred absences over the past weeks due to colds and flu. Healthier hands for Bantay Bata 163 Children’s Village

Bantay Bata 163 Children's Village in Norzagaray, Bulacan not only provides shelter but also gives love and hope for rescued children.

Building a better future for these precious kids, ABS-CBN Foundation, through its Program Director Ms. Jing Castaneda-Velasco, tapped Manila Water Foundation to construct two five-faucet hygiene facilities in the Village.

'Clean Hands for All': Manila Water Foundation's 2019 Global Handwashing Day celebration

In celebration of the GHD, Manila Water Foundation (MWF), the social development arm of the Manila Water enterprise in the Philippines, emphasizes the importance of proper handwashing with clean water and soap during critical times. This is line with the company’s banner campaign “Health in Our Hands.”

The main event was held at Mariano Marcos Memorial High School (MMMHS) in Sta. Ana, Manila. The event was divided into two: Morning and afternoon programmes.

MWF sends water relief to families displaced by fire in Navotas City

More than 800 families were displaced by fire in a residential area at Market 3, Barangay North Bay Boulevard North (NBBN) in Navotas City on October 18. Reports stated that at least 200 houses were burned down by the fire. Left homeless, residents who lost their homes to the fire were temporarily sheltered at the Barangay NBBN basketball court.

Health in Our Hands partners with RGP Philippines

In partnership with Resources Global Professionals (RGP) Philippines, 150 pupils from Cembo Elementary School in Makati City were reminded of the value of proper handwashing and regular toothbrushing as part of a healthy lifestyle. 

Highlights of the session included a storytelling activity about hygiene practices, hygiene kit and snack distribution from RGP, and the interactive lecture on the 7 steps to proper handwashing and toothbrushing.
