MWF, AFI turn over donations to Pampanga quake victims

Manila Water Foundation (MWF) joined Ayala Foundation Inc. (AFI) in the turnover of the final Deed of Acceptance of donations to the Provincial Government of Pampanga.

Committed to being of service to our fellow Filipinos especially in times of need, MWF worked hand in hand with AFI, Apl.de.Ap Foundation, and Project Malasakit by Kara David in supporting victims of the April 22 earthquake that hit Northern Luzon.

MWF gives joy to CMSP Children's Village through Lingap, Ahon

Manila Water Foundation (MWF), together with Ayala Foundation, Inc. (AFI) gave joy to 100 children at the Christian Mission Service Philippines (CMSP) Children’s Village where an inauguration ceremony took place to mark the turnover of a 5-faucet hygiene facility under the Foundation’s Lingap program and the rehabilitation of 6 artesian wells under MWF’s Ahon Tubig program on July 6 at Naic, Cavite.  

To help sustain the children’s learning from the event about proper hygiene, MWF also donated books and hygiene kits after a short hygiene education session.

Today, more than 100 kids with their parents learned about the 7 steps to proper handwashing and 7 steps to proper toothbrushing in a Health in Our Hands session at Fairview Philippines Stake. 

HiOH program brought to Dumagats in partnership with PTV 4

Health in Our Hands, the Foundation's hygiene education program, is brought to many places all over the country to teach Filipinos on proper hygiene techniques to promote good health.

On July 17, our Dumagat brothers and sisters learned about proper handwashing and toothbrushing, and received hygiene kits to help them practice their new learnings with their families.

MWF, YLGG Fellows join the Development Marketplace

The Development Marketplace of the Young Leaders for Good Governance (YLGG) is a platform for the YLGG fellows to widen their linkages and meet institutions that share the same collaborative mindset and pursuit for development that they have, whether it be in the form of joint convening or funding opportunities. 

On July 19, MWF joined the YLGG Development Marketplace to invite fellows to pitch for a Lingap project grant which includes a provision of a 5-faucet hygiene facility and Health in Our Hands (HiOH) session on proper handwashing and toothbrushing with hygiene kits. 

More schools in Laguna get WASHed

More than 2,500 students and staff of Southville 5A Integrated National High School (SINHS) in  Biñan City, Laguna can now live a healthier lifestyle through the five-faucet hygiene and drinking facilities under the Foundation's Lingap Eskwela program, in partnership with Laguna Water.

A WASH Story: Sitio Monicayo Learns About Groundwater Contamination

The links between water and sanitation are undeniable, that is why Manila Water Foundation (MWF), through its Integrated WASH Program found the need to educate its partner communities on the risks of open defecation and improper waste management to their water source.

On July 26, MWF conducted a session on groundwater contamination with the members of the community’s Water and Sanitation Groups as the first phase of its Behavioral Change Communication (BCC) campaign.

MWF awarded as finalist in LCF CSR Guild Awards 2019

Manila Water Foundation (MWF) was awarded as a finalist in the first-ever League of Corporate Foundations’ (LCF) CSR Guild Awards for Outstanding CSR Project in Health- “Clean Hands - A Recipe for Health: MWF’s Global Handwashing Day Program”, and Outstanding CSR Project in Environment - “Working Together Towards a Clean Boracay” on July 5 at the PICC, Pasay City.
